Django Unchained unveils its first trailer. And it's a good 'un
We’ve previously taken an extended look at the first footage from Quentin Tarantino’sDjango Unchained and now the debut trailer has hit the interwebs.
Check it out.
Well now, if that isn’t one of the coolest things you watch today, you probably live in an alternative universe populated entirely by gravity defying rabbits who engage in Matrix inspired mortal combat on an hourly basis. In space.Django Unchained is the seventh film from writer/directorQuentin Tarantinoand stars Jamie Foxx as a slave in the Deep South before the American Civil War who is given a chance at freedom, and revenge, when he’s rescued by Christoph Waltz’s bounty hunter. He then sets out to find his wife, who has been taken into bondage by an evil plantation owner played by Leonardo DiCaprio.
The trailer focuses a little less on the comedy tone that we saw in the longer footage in Cancun but there are still plenty of laughs, as well as a taste of the extreme, and stylish violence which Tarantino will use to illustrate this tale of vengeance. The musical choices are top notch, Foxx looks great on screen, Waltz is a riot, DiCaprio is uber evil and you can’t argue with that impeccably chosen tagline: “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Vengeance…”Django Unchained is in cinemas in the states this December and across the pond in January.
