Proof that you never have to grow up.
After Paramount released the straight-to-DVD Jackass 3.5, it looked like the franchise might be done for. There was also the untimely death of cast member Ryan Dunn last year. However, the guys have never quite learned when to call it quits, as we have seen in numerous episodes and movies. Paramount has now registered a string of domain names, which may hint towards the next entry in the series. Apparently it will be sub-titled Bad Grandpa.
The studio has registered names such as "badgrampa-movie.com," "jackass4badgrampa.com," "jackass4badgrampamovie.com," "jackass4badgrandpa.com," "jackass4badgrandpamovie.com" and so on. None of these websites are live at this point in time. This isn’t exactly conclusive proof that a movie is in development, so put those shopping carts back Jackass fans, but it isn’t the first time that a studio has snapped up domains ahead of a project just in case.
The old-man bad grandpa characters are more sedate than the usual Jackass hi-jinks, but have had their fair share of the limelight. A movie focusing on these characters would also require fewer of the cast and crew, who may be less inclined to return considering recent circumstances or personal projects.
