No bad but not great

This is a beautifully shot film and I liked the idea of it but it was just not strong enough in its story. Also, the central characters were very one dimensional and unlikeable for the most part. I wanted more. That said, this is not a west of time, the story is well enough told and it keeps you interested. It sets up the enigma well enough it just doesn’t resolve it satisfactorily and there are better “doomsday” films out there (“Road” not being one of them)

Interesting

I didn't expect this to be very good having read the story line. But the characters really made this film a classic. Its a road trip, 'not-quite-zombie' film that has a sort of sad undertone to it. It leaves you a lot more involved in the story than expected and I really enjoyed it. You might want a feel good movie to follow though! Great entertainment.
Unfulfilling...

The cast and acting are very acceptable, but the chasing and rage that we have come to expect from 'the infected' in movies like this is badly missing. The story focuses specfically around the two main characters (brothers) and we never get to find out the bigger picture. Disappointing and unfulfilling.
A low budget , disaster road movie,

However , we enjoyed it (without fast forwarding any of it)! I would say it was a realistic portrayal of young people trying to surive , the ending is open , but life is.
If your idea of a disaster movie is 2012 , it is not for you!
Crap and carry

A half decent story line ruined by terrible acting and extremely irritating characters. Carry yourself as far away as possible from this one!!!!
