4 out of 10 The hunt is on.
Colm from Galway, 03 Sep 2010
If chase movies and gruesome gory violence are up your alley then you will love this movie. A handful of Roman soldiers (remnants of the 3,000 strong ninth legion) are on the run as they are relentlessly pursued by a ruthless gang of Picts. Great popcorn movie from the director of Dog Soldiers and The Descent. Leave your brain outside, you won't need it here!

2.5 out of 10 Fluff vs Fassbender
Frances from Dublin, 28 Feb 2011
This film is only ok. Its not very exciting but it keeps your attention pretty well to the end. I rented it only because Michael Fassbender was in it and it wasn't worth it.

What's it about....
Michael Fassbender, Dominic West and Olga Kurylenko star in Neil Marshall's (Doomsday, The Descent, Dog Soldiers) telling of the myth of the Roman army's Ninth Legion, Centurion. During the height of the Roman Empire the Ninth Legion was sent to Scotland to defeat the Picts, but not one of them ever returned, not one of three thousand. This is the story of the fearsome battles they may have faced, or what may have enticed them to abandon their Empire.
