2 out of 10 Not Great, Could have been a LOT better.....
Michael from Dublin, 01 Mar 2010
I was really looking forward to seeing this film. I think Benicio Del Toro is a great actor, However i did not like this film. It was very long and lost my attention at times. I wont be watching part two any time soon. Im usually a fan of foreign films and subtitles dont bother me too much. I felt that this picture didnt really show you who Che was very well. It might have been better if you found out more about the man himself. Im not a huge Soderbergh fan and if you are, be warned! this is not

4 out of 10 For anyone interested in cuban revolution or not!
Aisling from Dublin, 20 Nov 2009
This is a long film and I had heard others dislike that but it is a story that I felt keeps going to the end. Superb characterisation from Benito Del Torro though the "fenster" strut creeps in now and again. This isn't a typical war film genre but done in an autobiographical style concerning his part in the revolution in cuba. It tells more about the political message of the revolution than the fighting action.

4 out of 10 Well worth seeing
Nuala from Dublin, 30 Apr 2010
I really enjoyed this. It’s very slow moving and it’s a bit like a documentary at times where you are not quite sure whats going on. However, I found it both intriguing and engaging if not quite informative enough. It's acting is superb and you just can’t take your eyes off Benicio Del Toro. That said this is only for people interested in CUBA and Che Guevara Nuala

1 out of 10 Hard to follow
GARVAN from Dublin, 01 Oct 2009
Some subtitled, some English, characters are given no real introduction, time jumps from one decade to the other, from region to region in Cuba / Mexico / US ... gave up half way through. Was looking forward to an in-depth look at his life in Cuba but maybe I'll read a book - would be easier to follow than this movie.

4 out of 10 Realistic and engaging
Stuart from Dublin, 19 Jul 2009
Che is unliike many films that come out today. Far from trying to thrill you with action and explosions, this film is trying to partly document the mans life while tell a story based on real events. I would recomend part 1 and 2 being rented. If you enjoy thrillers, history programess or even action fios youll enjoy it.

What's it about....
Oscar-winner Steven Soderbergh delivers this ambitious and sprawling biopic of one of the 20th Century's most influential political figures. In the second 127-minute segment, GUERILLA, Ernesto 'Che' Guevara (Benicio Del Toro) has abandoned Cuba in order to start an even more daunting Latin-American revolution. He starts in Bolivia where, using a pseudonym, Che begins training his cobbled-together forces. This time around, however, Che's asthma is taking a greater toll, and...
