Stay Away!

Don't waste your time with this one!!! Have been a fan of Jim J. for years, however, I think he must have been on some strange trip when he made this film. What a shame considering the great talent he hired and even soundtrack by great musician Neil Young was awful. Still have to say Jim J. did some great stuff in past, especially "Down By Law", one of his early black and white films. Last I check Screenclick didnt carry this one, but do whatever you can to see this one, my fav movie of all time.

Interminable

This was a brutally boring movie. I usually like off-kilter stories, but this one was too far out there for me! I usually enjoy Johnny Depp (and he was quite good in this) but it all seemed so pointless.
The gratuititous, gross-out scene with the bounty-hunter stepping on a dead body's skull and applying pressure until it split open and the brains oozed out pushed me over the edge -- and I stopped defending the cinematic vision of the director to my wife.
"Too" stylised

Every single thing about this tells me that I "should" love it: Johnny Depp, Iggy Pop, John Hurt, good music..... All should have been good, but it wasn't.... Perhaps guilty of being "over" stylised, if such a thing is possible. Sad to say that I couldn't finish this and was a big let down for me. Pity.
fantastic film

Great film by Jim Jarmusch, score by Neil Young.
Cameos by Gabriel Byrne, Robert Mitchum, Iggy Pop, Billy Bob Thornton, Joihn Hurt among others.
