5 out of 10 Comedy with a message!
Clare from Dublin, 04 Feb 2009
This movie is a family film which should be considered seperate from Bruce Almighty as it takes quite a different approach to the idea of someone being spoken to by God. If you like a modern day twist on Bible stories then you will love this like I did. If that's not your idea of fun then you may be left a little dissappointed as Evan Almighty doesn't offer quite the same "big laugh moments" as Bruce.

3 out of 10 Light hearted fun
Gerard from Tipperary, 14 Feb 2008
Seen the trailer for this one and it looked kinda funny. I wasn't expecting too much. I wasn't disappointed. Me the wife and son watched it together. By the end of it we all had that warm glowing feeling. Jokes were ok some funny some not. I prefered Jim Carey in the first one. Watchable - not meant to be taken too serious.

2 out of 10 More of a kids movie
Christopher from Galway, 05 Dec 2007
If you haven't already guessed Evan Almighty is more of a kids movie than its predecessor, Bruce Almighty. You should really think of them as separate movies with separate expectations otherwise you will be disappointed.

3.5 out of 10 Good
Kristine from Dublin, 08 Aug 2008
This is an ok film – if you liked Bruce Almighty it is on the same par. Steve Carrell is not up to his usual high standard but it is the material not him – there are some funny moments but is a little preachy

2 out of 10 Evan Almightly
Olive from Dublin, 21 Feb 2008
Good for a giggle. Don't expect as much laughs as bruce almightly but Morgan Freeman is excellent. Watched the bonus features and found it interesting how they got the whole film together.

What's it about....
Steve Carell (The 40-Year-Old Virgin), reprising his role as the polished, preening newscaster Evan Baxter of Bruce Almighty, is the next one anointed by God to accomplish a holy mission in the hilarious new comedy Evan Almighty. Blockbuster comedy director Tom Shadyac (The Nutty Professor, Liar Liar, Bruce Almighty) returns behind the camera for this next episode of divine intervention. This time, however, his cast grows two-by-two. Newly elected to Congress, Evan leaves...
