Intense and violent

Very dark and intense film with shockingly strong violence which was sometimes OTT. Too violent for my tastes. Good performances all round, particularly from Tom Hardy and Guy Pearce who makes an excellant psyco. I found Shia Lebeough character mildly irritating throughout, and if he actually grew a pair the film might of finished alot sooner. Plot was good though very slow, things happened but at a crawl pace. Didn't like the ending, felt they could have ended things alot differently and better for the 3 brothers. Definitely worth a few, but if you don't like graphic violence this would not be for you.
Gritty US prohibition tale

It takes a while to explode, but the story is interesting and gripping. Stunning scenery too. Worth a rental.
