One of the most iconic television shows of the past twenty years, the creators of The Simpsons have finally managed to create the big screen version, so eagerly awaited by fans worldwide! The film deals with Springfield's awful lack of compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency in cleaning up the lakes in the area with comical results. When the town gets sealed inside a bubble in an attempt to stop Springfields pollution destroying America, Homer and co escape only to find that they are

Like most TV's shows transferring to the big screen - this is another disapointment.
any fan of the show will know that there are hundreds of episodes out there better than the movie and while a lot of people say it is just an extended episode - what do they expect, that is exactly what it is but sadly it is an average to poor episode extended.
Still if you are a fan it is a much watch movie and has some laughs, the show is also probably past it's sell by date.
Getting a little tired now.

Apart from there being alot more money spent on it, this isn't very different from the TV series, not sure if this is a good thing or bad. They could have fitted the whole thing into an episode, if you took out the crowd scenes and FX, which were only put in to show the difference between TV & Cinema.
Funny in places, but Homer being a bad father and terrible human being gets tiring after a while.

I got bored of the Simpsons when Sky 1 spent 5 years showing 12 episodes a day and they all seemed to be about Lisa. This has moments but as is usually the case with a popular cartoon made into a feature, this runs out of steam fairly quickly and left me slightly nauseous. If the genius of Family Guy couldn't last a feature length movie then the Simpsons had no chance.
Well Worth the wait

Missed this in the cinema. It was well worth the wait. You can sense where the scriptwriters struggled half way through the movie to keep it going, but if you are expecting something new and improved you will be let down. Think of this as an extended episode of the Simpson's. Funny gags, good one liners, Moe and of course Homer!!
