Run of the Mill Horror

This film had all the elements necessary for a horror film... teenage girl, one dead parent, big house, scary child and a mystery which aforementioned teenager is compulsed to solve!! Then add in a few thundery, rainy days, a big old institution, a bit of superstition and away you go... but somehow the film just doesn't do it - you know exactly what's coming about 20 minutes before it happens.

The story is terribly contrived and goes through the typical horror story motions from start to finish: childhood trauma - check! Nightmares - check!

The trailer makes this look like a very good horror movie, its not.I haven't seen a good horror film in ages

Very predictable. Really liked the dog at the start though, freakiest bit in the whole film.
