Staff Choice: Man of the Year
We’ve waited a while to see Robin Williams back in his original comic form but finally he has made it home in Man of the Year.
The movie is packed full of one liners and at times seems like a one man stand up show. It could be considered a little self
indulgent of the comic genius but he is quickly forgiven. Although the romantic/thriller sub plots blend into insignificance,
take this movie for what it is, a political satire and if you are a Robin Williams fan you’ll enjoy it. It is in our opinion
his best comic role since Mrs. Doubtfire (excluding Happy Feet of course). Man of the Year is an entertaining and at times thought
provoking movie and a show case of Robin William’s intelligent humour.
